Hyperpigmentation (Melasma)

Hyperpigmentation affects many individuals, but the reasons vary widely and have the appearance of brownish patches of skin in areas like the face, neck and chest. The medical term for hyperpigmentation is “Melasma.”

Essentially, it is a condition where the melanin production is too high in some areas of skin. Sunlight often makes this condition worse, thus doctors usually instruct patients to wear strong sunscreen.

For more information on this condition, or to discuss what can be done for you to take care of this problem, please contact Dr. Olga Goulko, who will design a treatment program that is tailored to your specific needs.
